The origins of the Red Dot Design Award reach back to the 1950s. Since then, it has established itself internationally as one of the most appreciated quality seals for outstanding designs. The Red Dot jury looks for particularly creative, innovative, and high-quality products with the best achievements in international product design.
It has been announced by Red Dot CEO and initiator, Professor Dr. Peter Zec, in Essen, Germany, that the Valkee 2 Bright Light Headset is among the winners of the Red Dot Award 2014.
In 2014, a total of 1,816 manufacturers, designers and architects from 53 nations entered their projects and products into the competition for the Red Dot quality seal. The evaluation process lasted several days, during which the 40 members of the Red Dot jury tested, discussed and evaluated 4,815 drafts - live and on-site. Due to the consistently high quality of the entries, it was not easy for the professionals to make their decisions. Only the best products were bestowed with the sought-after award for design excellence.
