Bone fractures are further distinguished based on their shape. Whether an operation is necessary and the success of the fracture's healing also depends thereupon. It may also occur that chronic pain remains despite a successful surgery and a well-developed healing process. This disease is called 'dystrophy' (see above). With most bone fractures, the surrounding tissue is injured in addition to the bone, or the muscles or the skin are damaged. Therefore, bone fractures are usually also associated with quite some pain and require immediate treatment. It is also important to remain in a resting position. Thus, once the fracture has healed, attention should be paid to muscle building and training, because these are severely weakened by the long period of resting. In these cases, a combination of TENS and EMS are advisable. TENS is used to reduce pain at the respective part of the body through gentle stimulation. And EMS is electronic muscle stimulation, by which the muscle is gently worked out. The duration and type of treatment is best determined through consultation with the doctor.
Pain from bone fractures
Severe impacts, accidents or sports injuries can be the cause of bone fractures. In medicine, a broken bone is also referred to as a 'fracture'. If a bone fracture develops without exterior force, it is called a spontaneous fracture or pathological fracture.
