    • The targeted and deep penetrating heat of infrared light through the skin promotes blood circulation, stimulates metabolism, relieves muscle tension, helps to improve skin impairments and helps in the treatment of colds.       To use the Medisana IR850 for infrared therapy, simply place it on a table or solid surface opposite the part of the body you would like to treat. Thanks to the continuously adjustable angle of inclination, the IR 850 can be applied to large areas of the entire body. The infrared lamp is equipped with a carrying handle on the upper side, so you can easily move and adjust it. The preset duration is 15 minutes. This is indicated by the lighting of all three green LEDs of the timers available for selection. You can reduce the treatment duration for 5 minutes at a time by pressing the start button. At the same time, the 'Do not touch glass' warning symbol lights up, indicating that the light source will become hot during the application. After the treatment time has elapsed, the cooling function of the infrared lamp becomes active.

      Choose the irradiation distance accordingly, so that you will find the heat comfortable, but try to place the lamp at least 40 cm of distance. You can keep your eyes closed (the timer will automatically switch off at the end of the treatment period) or put on protective goggles. As a certified medical device, the Medisana IR 850 infrared lamp is well suited for relaxing muscles or treating colds.
